The 4th of July tradition continues as we celebrate Independence Day at the Palo Alto Summer Festival & Chili Cook off. Celebrating all that is wonderful about summer, the festival attracts thousands of participants, of all ages, who love a little Independence Day celebration, sunshine and of course chili! Prepare your taste buds for an intense culinary cook off as a number of teams battle it out for the chili championship. And there is more than just chili. There are a number of others events including: Live music by the band Blues at 11, line dancing with Hedy McAdams, children’s activities, food vendors, and more all taking place from 12 – 5pm. The chili tasting starts at 1:30pm. Admission is free and tasting kits will be available to purchase for a nominal fee. Do you think that your secret chili recipe has the “mixins” to stand the heat of competition? This year’s Chili Cook-off is the perfect chance to try it out.
